Terms of use

Darija Learner Pro (a service of Muhammad Teaches Arabic)

Effective date: 7 Nov 2025

This Terms of Use (“Terms”) is a plain‑language agreement between Muhammad Teaches Arabic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and you (“you” or “Student”) that governs your access to and use of our website, courses, memberships, live sessions, community spaces, and any related content or services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

We respect Islamic values of modesty, honesty, and benefit to others. Our aim is to provide a respectful and welcoming learning environment for all students, Muslim and non‑Muslim alike.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity on your account.
  • Please keep your profile information accurate and up to date.

3) Plans, subscriptions & billing

  • What’s included. Over 55 pre‑recorded grammar lessons (beginner → advanced), a Google Form exercise for each lesson, 5 phase quizzes, and weekly live speaking sessions (60 min) — one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Students book their preferred times via Zcal.
  • Memberships. Access is offered through a monthly subscription (the “Plan”).
  • Renewals. Plans renew automatically each month unless you cancel before renewal. By subscribing you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge the recurring fee and applicable taxes in EUR (€).
  • Trials & promos. No free trials or coupons at this time.
  • Price changes. We may adjust pricing with reasonable advance notice. Changes apply to the next billing cycle.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend access until payment is updated.

Cancellations & refunds

  • Cancel anytime. From your account: profile picture → SettingsManage my subscriptions → locate the subscription → Cancel subscription. Or email us at [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the current paid period ends.
  • 7‑day money‑back guarantee. You may request a refund within 10 days of any purchaseno questions asked. Email us from your registered address.
  • Live programs / cohorts. If we offer dated cohorts or intensives later, refunds are available up to 72 hours before the first live session; after that, fees are non‑refundable.

4) What you get: license to use the content

  • When you enroll, we grant you a personal, non‑transferable, non‑exclusive license to access lessons, replays, PDFs, and practice materials solely for your own learning while your Plan is active.
  • No redistribution. You may not share, sell, upload publicly, or distribute our course materials, slides, videos, or audio files.
  • Download permissions. Grammar videos, PDFs, and audios are not downloadable. Materials shared specifically inside the WhatsApp community (e.g., short audios/clips) may be downloaded for your personal study only – no reposting.
  • Recordings & marketing. Some live speaking sessions are recorded and shared as member replays. Selected clips may be used for testimonials and social media (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). Female students’ faces will be blurred in public clips; male students’ faces will not be blurred. By attending, you consent to this use. If you prefer not to appear, keep your camera off and notify us at the start of class.

5) Community & classroom etiquette

We aim for a warm, modest, and family‑friendly environment:

  • Cameras & mics ON during speaking practice unless the teacher instructs otherwise.
  • Be respectful; no harassment, hate speech, bullying, or insulting language.
  • Dress and backgrounds should be modest and appropriate for a mixed classroom.
  • No spam, self‑promotion, or selling.
  • Keep discussions on topic (Darija/Moroccan culture/learning strategies). Faith‑related conversation should remain respectful and non‑argumentative.

Live speaking session rules

  • Respect everyone’s turn – Darija is not a competition, let your classmates talk.
  • No personal attacks – disagree on ideas, not people.
  • Sensitive topics are welcome – religion, politics, culture… but no “You’re wrong/bad because you’re you.”
  • Privacy matters – do not record someone without permission; don’t ask about salaries, bank accounts, or how many goats someone owns.
  • Mute when noisy – dogs, babies, or loud music? Please mute.
  • Be on time – showing up late is like bringing cold Atay to the table… nobody wants it.

We may remove posts or mute/ban accounts that violate these guidelines.

6) Student contributions (UGC)

  • You remain the owner of any content you post (e.g., messages, homework, voice notes). You grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host and display that content within the Services, and to use anonymized snippets for testimonials or marketing only with your consent.
  • Do not upload content that infringes others’ rights or violates law.

7) Technology, support & availability

  • You need a stable internet connection and a device capable of running modern browsers and video calls (Zoom/Meet). Headphones and a microphone improve the learning experience.
  • Support: we reply to support emails within 24 hours.
  • We strive for high uptime but some interruptions may occur (maintenance or factors outside our control). We’re not liable for delays or data loss caused by third‑party services.

8) Payments & taxes

  • Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Prices are shown and charged in EURO (EUR, €) and may exclude taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, VAT, or GST based on your billing address.

9) Academic & results disclaimer

We promise effort, clarity, and sincere support-but individual results vary. We do not guarantee fluency, grades, visas, or academic credit. Your progress depends on your practice and consistency.

10) Intellectual property

All course materials, brand names, logos, and website content are owned by Mohamed Moukasse / Muhammad Teaches Arabic LLC and are protected by copyright and other IP laws. Except for the personal learning license above, no rights are transferred to you.

Instructor content. When other teachers contribute, their materials are provided under work‑for‑hire or exclusive license to us and must stay within Darija Learner Pro unless we give written permission.

  • Governing law: Kingdom of Morocco law, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
  • Venue: Courts located in Marrakesh, Morocco have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Informal resolution first. If a dispute arises, please email us. We’ll seek a fair, amicable solution in good faith within 30 days, in the spirit of ihsān (excellence).
